Product information
Our home décor fabric is priced and sold by the linear yard. One yard is 36 inches in length by the width of the roll (most of our fabrics are 54 inches wide). For example if you purchased 1 yard of fabric, you will receive a piece fo fabric 36 inches long by 54 inches wide.
What applications are the fabrics suited for?
ColorLoom fabrics are designed for multi-purpose applications for home decor. They are suitable for a variety of home decorating uses such as upholstered furniture, seat cushions, window treatments, bedding and pillows. What is the fabric content?
Most of our fabrics are 100% cotton. We have a small offering of cotton/polyester blends and 100% linen. All of our fabrics are free of harmful chemicals.
Flammability
All of our fabrics have passed Cal TB 117-2013, UFAC Class1 flammability requirements.
Flame Retardant
All of our fabrics are free of flame retardant chemicals.
Durability
Most of the fabrics pass 9000 Wyzenbeck double rubs. For the past 25 years large furniture manufacturers have been using our fabric with this rating.
Where are the designs and fabrics from?
All of our fabrics are original designs created by Laura and Kiran Singh in our studio in Berkeley, CA. To find out more about our process click on About Us.
How and where are they made?
ColorLoom fabrics are handmade by master craftsmen in India who print and weave to the highest quality standards. We pride ourselves on the durability and color consistency of our fabrics. We have been working with the same craftsmen for over 20 years.

Ordering
Are all the fabrics shown on the website in stock?
All fabrics shown on the website are either in stock or on an order that is coming in later.
Do you sell fabric swatches?
The color of fabrics can vary on different computer monitors. We highly recommend you order swatches before ordering fabric if you are concerned about the color matching for your project. We sell fabric swatches for $1.50 each with free shipping. Swatches are approximately 4 x 6 inches, for prints with a larger repeat a larger swatch will be sent. To order swatches click here.
What is a repeat?
A repeat is the distance from the center of one motif of a pattern to the center of the next.
What is the minimum yardage I can have cut to order?
The minimum order is for 1 yard. We ship whole yards only.
Do you ship fabric in pieces?
No. We understand the importance of one, continuous piece of fabric. When this isn't possible, we will contact you to discuss details before your item ships.
Can I order multiple cuts of the same fabric?
No. If multiple cuts are required for the same fabric, individual orders must be placed.
If I need more quantity than shows in stock on your website can I special order it?
If you need more yardage than is on the website, contact us to find out about future availability. It’s possible there is more fabric on order that doesn’t show up on the website.
Are all the fabrics shown on the website in stock?
All fabrics shown on the website are either in stock or on an order that is coming in later.
How long will it take to process my order?
Orders for all in stock items will be ready to ship within 3-5 business days. You will be contacted via email if there are any unexpected stock shortages. You will receive an email once your order is shipped.
